A 36-year-old real estate businessman from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, died by
suicide on Wednesday after posting a live video on Facebook, where he
spoke about his unbearable financial stress and his inability to buy insulin
injections for his diabetic daughter, Free Press Journal reported.
In the video, Shahbaz pleaded with celebrities and industrialists to support his
family after his death. He further said that he could not even arrange money to
purchase insulin for his daughter, who suffers from diabetes.
By the time his family members, who saw the video, informed the police and
rushed to his office, Shahbaz had already shot himself.
Gudamba police station inspector Prabhatesh Srivastava rushed to the spot
on getting the news after which the deceased’s body was sent to a
government hospital for postmortem. A forensic also reached the spot for
probe. “A real estate businessman from Gudamba died by suicide after going
live on Facebook. He was deeply troubled over a Rs 15 crore financial loss,”
ETV Bharat quoted Inspector Srivastava as saying.
Police have registered a case and are looking into the financial records and
loans mentioned by Shahbaz. They are also verifying his claims of
harassment by a business partner.

वीडियो में, शाहबाज़ ने मशहूर हस्तियों और उद्योगपतियों से उनकी मृत्यु के बाद उनके परिवार का समर्थन करने की
गुहार लगाई। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि वह अपनी बेटी, जो मधुमेह से पीड़ित है, के लिए इंसुलिन खरीदने के लिए पैसे की
व्यवस्था भी नहीं कर सके।
जब तक उनके परिवार के सदस्य, जिन्होंने वीडियो देखा, पुलिस को सूचित किया और उनके कार्यालय पहुंचे, तब तक
शाहबाज़ ने पहले ही खुद को गोली मार ली थी।
खबर मिलते ही गुडंबा थाने के इंस्पेक्टर प्रभातेश श्रीवास्तव मौके पर पहुंचे, जिसके बाद मृतक के शव को पोस्टमॉर्टम के
लिए सरकारी अस्पताल भेजा गया। जांच के लिए फोरेंसिक भी मौके पर पहुंची। ईटीवी भारत ने इंस्पेक्टर श्रीवास्तव के
हवाले से कहा, “गुडम्बा के एक रियल एस्टेट व्यवसायी ने फेसबुक पर लाइव होने के बाद आत्महत्या कर ली। वह 15
करोड़ रुपये के वित्तीय नुकसान से काफी परेशान थे।”
पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और शाहबाज द्वारा बताए गए वित्तीय रिकॉर्ड और ऋण की जांच कर रही है। वे एक
बिजनेस पार्टनर द्वारा उत्पीड़न के उसके दावों की भी पुष्टि कर रहे हैं।
